Cultures Without Borders Project

9 December 2019

Some of our College students participated in "Cultures without borders", a multicultural incentive for the youth of Melbourne to attend a workshop and paint a graffiti wall mural with renowned street artist Pete Cto in Caulfield on Sunday, 1 December 2019.

“Cultures without Borders” is an educational initiative designed to encourage religious harmony and social cohesion through the creation of a graffiti wall by young students from the Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths. The image created on the wall evokes the message of tolerance, understanding and inclusiveness. The inaugural 2019 program was organised and launched by Gen2Gen Limited and B’nai B’rith Courage to Care (Vic) Inc.

Gen2Gen is a non-profit initiative that runs educational programs to teach future generations about the importance of awareness, tolerance and prevention of racial intolerance.

Courage to Care is a travelling exhibition and education program which inspires students to be Upstanders, not Bystanders, when they are witnesses to any acts of bullying, racism or prejudice.

The following students participated in "Cultures Without Borders"

  • Anisah Nor Ashraf (Year 5-6G1)
  • Adreana Nasir (Year 7G2)
  • Akeef Nasir (Year 8B1)
  • Naziihah Hafidi (Year 9G1)
  • Ariff Nasir (Year 9B1)
