Equestrian Program Back in Action

10 February 2021

We are delighted to report that our popular Equestrian Program is back and running again this year, alhamdulillah. The after-school program aims at teaching our students from Year 3 and up about both horsemanship and riding skills.

Experienced Equestrian Coach Ms Adrienne McMahon guides both inexperienced as well as advanced riders in their individual lessons held at our very own sand arena on College grounds.

We currently have 30 students participating and greatly enjoying their lessons on horse back. Students were also very excited to welcome handsome young pony"Kryptonite" to our stable this year.

The cost per term is $180 and will cover approximately 10 lessons. This is a highly subsidised price for Al Siraat students only. It is therefore not surprising that the program has been in such high demand this year that we now have several students on waitlist.

Please be reminded that our school ponies strictly must NOT be fed vegetable scraps of any kind as it can cause severe illness leading to death. Their stomachs are not capable of digesting vegetables, in particular lettuce and other green leafy vegetables. The horses are on a specific diet to enable them to stay in the best of health.
