The idea for the Janazah (Kafan) Workshop began during a Level 3 female Riyad us-Saliheen class with Ust. Hafsa Hanif. While studying a hadith on Janazah, students discussed whether they had ever witnessed or learnt the practical process of preparing a deceased person for burial.
