Our Junior students from Years 3 to 6 had a special assembly this week to welcome the month of Ramadan 2017.
Our Year 6 boys beautifully recited the ayahs from the Quran highlighting the importance of fasting in the blessed month of Ramadan. Guest Speaker, Ustadh Abdullah Mawar shared some excellent tips to prepare and get the best out of this month, while the dialogue and role play by Year 4 and 6 girls respectively was enjoyed by all. Year 3 and 5 girls delighted the audience with a Nasheed to welcome Ramadan.
The Ramadan Assembly was concluded with a beautiful dua from Sheikh Abdurrahman Abdullahi.
InShaAllah, we all should assess our spiritual mindset and connect with Allah daily by committing ourselves to acts that draws us closer to Him. By beginning the month of Ramadan with the correct intention of increasing our consciousness of Allah through fasting.
“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.”
