On 12th November 2015, Al Siraat College hosted a very successful Bake Sale. Thanks again to the very generous contributions of our Al Siraat family. Jazakhallahu Khairan to all those parents who donated money and/or food items for us to sell at our Bake Sale.
The total cash earnings from "The Splat" and other activities on the day of our Art Exhibition and the Bake Sale were $2,143.10. We also collected donations of $562 for the Somalian Well Project after Jumaa last Friday, 13th November. Altogether we collected $2,705.10 this year.
We are very pleased to announce that together with $2,000 raised last year by Ms Esra’s Year 7 and Year 10 students as well as our SRCs, and the amount of $2,705.10 raised this year, we now have more than enough money to build a well in Somalia
We have now started fundraising for another Well Project in Kyrgyzstan in Asia.
Al Siraat College aims to built much needed fresh water wells around the world in the future, inshaAllah.
We also had several anonymous EFTPOS donations to our Well Project. May Allah accept everyone’s efforts and contributions to this project. It is Sadaqa Jariya that will benefit us in this life and the hereafter, ameen.
