Two teams of Year 10 boys and girls represented Al Siraat College at the Annual Maths Association Victoria "Year 10 Maths Games Day" event held at Trinity Grammar School in Kew on Wednesday, 4 September 2019. The teams participated at the event for the first time as part of our Numeracy Week celebrations.
Students were engaged in problem solving and fast paced Maths relay challenges with students solving challenging problems against the clock and fellow teams. They also played Mathematical games of strategy.
The day was fun and challenging and offered our students an opportunity to develop their Mathematical thinking skills. All students were involved and it was really great to see them enjoying the challenge and social interaction with students from schools around Victoria.
Special thanks to Ms Noori Ahmad and Mr Mohamed Aden for giving the students an opportunity to attend this event.
