On 16 May, Al Siraat College assembled their first ever Cross Country team and Alhamdulilah, what a great day it was. 18 Junior School students from Year 5 and 6 were given the privilege of representing the College in a 3 kilometers race around Bundoora Park.
Each race contained over a hundred students, but Alhamdulilah, our student stars were up for the challenge. They did their upmost best to compete and represent Al Siraat with pride.
Although a number of students came close to progressing to the next round, one student exceeded expectations, Ammal Mohamed from Year 6A, who progressed to the next level. She has qualified to represent the Bridge Inn District Cross Country Team at the Whittlesea Division Cross Country Carnival at Bundoora Park on Wednesday, 31 May 2017.
The school is very proud of Ammal's efforts and congratulates the rest of the team for their support and participation.
The future of sports at Al Siraat is brighter than ever and we hope that our involvement in next year’s competition will be even bigger and better. We thank everyone for their support and their encouragement for the students.
