Our SRCs and Year 12 boys joined hands to feed the homeless at Queen Victoria Market during the holidays. The date marked exactly one year since the start of the 2020 lockdown. As in 2019, our students provided the service to the homeless people in collaboration with “Hasene Australia”.
College Captain Humza Ghouse and Environmental Captain Junayd Ayoubi took charge of the evening along with other Year 12 boys by cooking and serving freshly made sausages rolls. The menu for the evening contained sausages, drinks and dinner rolls. The boys served over 60 people on the night and it was wonderful to see how appreciative the people were on the night, by the efforts contributed by the students to provide them freshly cooked meal under the COVID-safe rules.
We would like to thank the following Year 12 students for attending and making the evening enjoyable and productive:
- Humza Ghouse – College Captain
- Junayd Ayoubi – Environmental Captain
- Jamal Abbas – Marwa House Captain
- Abdulrahman Taleb
