Today, our College came alive with colour and a strong sense of belonging as students across both Primary and Secondary School celebrated Cultural Day. It was wonderful to see the majority of students arrive dressed in their traditional cultural attire, representing the rich diversity that makes our community so special.
Cultural Day at Al Siraat aims to celebrate and honour the many cultures within our school community. With over 50 different cultural backgrounds represented among our students and staff, the day provided a meaningful opportunity for everyone to express their cultural identity. Students were encouraged to wear attire that reflects their heritage, while respectfully adhering to Islamic dress code guidelines.
While the school day continued as normal, the initiative brought an added sense of excitement and community spirit to classrooms and shared spaces alike. The day fostered a strong sense of unity and appreciation for cultural diversity, as students shared stories, traditions, and experiences with one another.
Adding to the celebrations, our VET Business students ran a variety of stalls as part of their assessment, showcasing both creativity and entrepreneurial skills. A delicious range of items was available, including sausage sizzles and drinks, brownies with ice cream, nachos, donuts, lollies, mocktails, and noodle cups.
We thank our students, staff, and families for embracing this special day and contributing to the vibrant cultures that defines our College community.
