There has been plenty of excitement at the ASC Farm with the arrival of two adorable baby goats, born just two days ago. Alhamdulillah, both kids (the name given to baby goats) and their mother Buttons are doing well, and the newest members of our farm family are already delighting everyone with their playful curiosity and energetic personalities.
Did you know that baby goats are called kids, while female goats are known as does and males are called bucks? Kids are often able to stand and walk within minutes of being born and are naturally inquisitive, spending much of their day exploring, hopping and playing as they grow stronger.
The arrival of these little ones is a wonderful reminder of the beauty of Allah’s creation and the valuable learning opportunities our farm provides. Watching the animals grow helps students develop an appreciation for nature, responsibility, and compassionate care for living creatures.
The excitement is far from over, as we are expecting more kids to be born during the term break, inShaAllah. We look forward to welcoming more new arrivals and sharing this special season of new life with our College community.
May Allah (SWT) continue to bless our farm and all those who care for His creation.
