The "This Girl Can Victoria" week was officially launched at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre on Monday, 18 March 2019. As one of the main campaigners, our very own Tanya Kubitza was invited to attend and received a gift from Mayor CR Lawrie Cox on stage.
The “Whittlesea Girls Can” campaign, proudly supported by the City of Whittlesea, is designed to empower women and girls to engage in regular sports and recreation, eoncouraging more women to give physical activity a shot or returning to activity after a break.
The campaign will conclude this coming Sunday, 24 March, allowing the women in our community this weekend to still join in some of the FREE and women’s only events happening over the next two days:
A FREE swim is on tomorrow (Saturday, 23 March) at the Thomastown TRAC from 1pm – 6pm. TRAC are also offering a women’s only gym from 3pm – 5pm.
This Sunday, the Thomastown TRAC has a 9.30am BodyPump session on and a FREE women’s only swim from 1-3pm.
