Road Safety Concerns: Fines will be issued

We have received the following communication from City of Whittlesea, expressing renewed and grave concerns about road safety breaches by members of our school community along Harvest Home Road:

"The City of Whittlesea has received community concerns about regular unsafe school community driver behaviour in Harvest Home Road, Epping. The nature of these concerns relate to vehicles regularly travelling westbound on the wrong side of the road between Al Siraat College and the Service Station on the corner of Harvest Home Road and Epping Road, between 8:15 and 8:45am on school days.

These concerns have been referred on to the Victoria Police Highway Patrol Unit for their information and enforcement of the road rules.

It would be appreciated if Al Siraat College can advise and continue to remind their school community to refrain from this unsafe, illegal and inappropriate driver behaviour."

We cannot stress enough that Road and Child Safety are a shared responsibility, and we can only keep our students and the wider community safe, if we have your support. We need to demonstrate to all residents of Wollert and Epping that we abide by traffic rules as responsible citizens.
