ASC students and teachers were very happy to host a visit from Federal MP Andrew Giles this week. The program was hosted under the great undercover multipurpose sports area which showcased our new sporting facilities.
The MC for the formal program was College Girls Captain Laila Rashid (Year 12). The program included the opening prayer by Mufti Aasim, a welcome speech by Principal Fazeel Arain, speech by our Head of PE Daniel Saleh and by MP Andrew Giles.

The program also included a demonstration by our Year 5+6 students using the new basketball facilities. College Boys Captain Humza Ghouse was the news reporter for this event capturing an interview with the MP before the formal program.
The visit concluded with a tour of the site. MP Giles was very impressed with the latest infrastructure and facilities now available to College students. He reflected on how far we have come as a school community from the the earlier days of his first visit to the al Siraat. We hope to welcome federal MP Andrew Giles to Al Siraat again soon.
