Looking for an engaging and meaningful activity these school holidays? The City of Whittlesea is hosting a Paperbark Painting and Weaving workshop, offering young people aged 13 – 18 the opportunity to explore Aboriginal culture through art and creativity.
Participants will learn about the cultural significance of paperbark and traditional weaving practices while creating their own unique artworks. Through hands-on activities and storytelling, young people will gain a deeper appreciation of the rich cultural knowledge and artistic traditions of Australia’s First Peoples.
As a school committed to reconciliation and cultural understanding, we encourage families to take advantage of opportunities such as this to learn more about Aboriginal histories, cultures and perspectives.
