Have you ever thought about volunteering your time to help native Australian wildlife? Registrations are now open for an upcoming Basic Wildlife Rescue and Care Training session in Wollert, designed for people who would like to learn how to safely assist small native animals in need.
Participants will learn essential skills for rescuing and caring for small native species, including possums, birds and lizards, as well as how to safely perform a pouch check for marsupials like kangaroos, wallabies and wombats.
No previous wildlife or animal experience is required. All that is needed is enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a desire to make a positive difference to our local wildlife.
If you have ever considered becoming a wildlife volunteer, this is a wonderful opportunity to develop practical skills and take the first step towards helping native animals in our community
