IMA Collecting Your COVID-19 Stories for their Archives

The Islamic Museum of Australia (IMA) is asking our Australian Muslim community to tell them how you have coped and how you hve thrived during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The IMA would like to know, collect and archive what Ramadan and Eid looked like in 2020 through your eyes and in your words. How you have filled the void of not attending Jummah in the masjid. How you have enabled your children to learn and thrive in the absence of in-person Qur’an and Islamic classes. If you are due to perform Hajj this year, tell us how you feel right now. We want to know about the challenges and the unexpected gains (like spending more time with close family) that have arisen with Covid-19.

We encourage our school community to share your stories and experience during this testing time. Please forward any

  • photos
  • short videos or
  • written stories

of how your family spent Ramadan and Eid this year during the pandemic to sherene.hassan@islamicmuseum.org.au.

Please include the title "Ramadan & COVID-19" as email title, add your full name and the names of your family members represented in the photos, the suburb where you live and Al Siraat College as your school community.

JazakAllah khairan for your submissions!
