School Holidays are coming! REMINDER: last day of school for students is Wednesday 22 June 2022.

Baseline for Young People, which is part of the City of Whittlesea, have lots of great activities during the school holidays – there is something for everyone!

Activity: Live Reptile Show – get up close with some of our amazing reptiles and learn all about their interesting habits and habitats.
Date: Thursday 30th June
Time: 10:00am – 11:30am
Location: Galada Community Activity Centre – 10A Forum Way Epping.
Cost: FREE activity
Age Range: For 10 -18 year olds

Activity: All Aboard Skateboard Workshop – provided by YMCA Action Sports, this is a FREE All Ages event. Skateboards, helmets, pads and skateboarding tuition are provided.
Date: Friday 1st July & Friday 8th July
Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm
Location: Epping Skate Park, Meadowglen Reserve, McDonalds Road Epping.
Cost: FREE activity
Age Range: All ages

Activity: Movie screening – Jurassic World Domination
Date: Tuesday 5th July
Time: 11:00am – 1:30pm
Location: Village Cinemas Plenty Valley
Cost: $7.50 – includes popcorn and a drink
Age Range: For 10 – 18 year olds.

Activity: Botanica Park Youth and Community Planting Day – come along and help plant up the understory plants around Botanica Lake, enhance biodiversity and learn about a developing ecosystem.
Date: Tuesday 5th July
Time: 10:00am – Midday
Location: Botanica Park, Botanica Boulevard Bundoora.
Cost: FREE activity
Age Range: All ages event
No Bookings Required.

Activity: Tie Dye workshops – Come a learn how to tie dye, you will be supplied with a calico bag for Die-ing, or you can bring along your own t-shirt. Up-cycling old t-shirts is great for the environment, new t-shirts will need to be washed before die-ing.
Date: Wednesday 6th July
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am or 12:30pm – 1:30pm.
Location: Whittlesea community Activity Centre – Laurel Street Whittlesea.
Cost: FREE activity
Age Range: For 10 – 18 year olds

Activity: Art Class – this fun class will see a talented artist guide you through a step by step process to create your own masterpiece – no artistic experience is required and all materials are supplied.
Date: Thursday 7th July
Time: 2:00pm – 3:00pm
Location: 44 Oleander Drive Mill Park
Cost: $7.50
Age Range: For 10 – 18 year olds

Activity: Whittlesea Youth NAIDOC Traditional Indigenous Games & BBQ – Learn all about our Aboriginal History while playing fun traditional Aboriginal games. The activity includes a traditional Aboriginal BBQ.
Date: Thursday 7th July
Time: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Location: City of Whittlesea Civic Centre, 25 Ferres Boulevard South Morang
Cost: FREE activity
Age range: For 10 – 18 year olds.
