As in previous years, our Junior classes have started attending their fortnightly visits to Lalor Library. The first classes to go were our Grade 5 and 6 girls. The students enjoyed choosing books for their “Drop Everything And Read Time” or DEAR Time in class.
Students also looked for books connected to their Inquiry Unit to use for research information. Students later enjoyed browsing around for other books or reading the books they had borrowed.
The fortnightly visits to Lalor Library are also encouraging students to select books from the Premiers’ Reading Challenge Book List to count towards completing this year’s Challenge.
