Healthy Lunch Box Tips

WHAT’S IN YOUR CHILD’S LUNCHBOX?!

Al Siraat College is promoting a healthy eating approach in all Junior and Senior classes. Please do NOT send any junk food along in your child’s lunch box.

"Healthy Food" should contain a starchy carbohydrate, ideally wholegrain bread, protein such as meat/fish/cheese, fruit and vegetables and/or a milk and dairy food.

"Unhealthy Food" contains confectionary, food with added salt/fat/sugar, deep-fried food or processed meats, chips, biscuits, sweats and fizzy drinks

For more information, please attend our Parent Education Group Session about NUTRITION on 24th March 2015 at 2.15 pm in the Junior School building.

In addition, we kindly ask you NOT to send Nutella or peanut butter sandwiches, muesli bars, hazelnut wafers etc. with your child:

WE HAVE CHILDREN AT THE COLLEGE WHO REACT SEVERELY TO NUTS IN THEIR ENVIRONMENT WHICH CAN EVEN BECOME LIFE THREATENING.
