Our Parents and Friends Committee (PFC), in collaboration with the Libyan Women Association, recently hosted the Eid Day – Motherhood: Cultivators of the Ummah celebration, bringing together sisters from our community for an uplifting evening of reflection, connection and gratitude.
A highlight of the event was an inspiring keynote address by Sister Nina Fashik who spoke about the profound role mothers play in nurturing families, strengthening communities and shaping future generations.
Guests also enjoyed a beautiful Qur'an recitation, a heartfelt video tribute celebrating mothers and daughters, and a moving nasheed performance by our talented Year 6 Songbirds.
The evening concluded with a delicious dinner, offering attendees the opportunity to connect and strengthen friendships, before Sr. Dania led a heartfelt closing du'a.
The event was a truly blessed and memorable celebration, honouring the invaluable contributions of mothers as the cultivators of the Ummah. May Allah (SWT) reward all those who contributed to the success of this special gathering.
