Year 3 Book Hat Design Competition: Book Week 2026

Inspired by their favourite books, characters and stories, students transformed their ideas into colourful and imaginative hats. From much loved characters to memorable story elements, each design showcased the unique creativity and personality of its young creator.

The competition was a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of reading while encouraging students to think creatively and explore the stories that capture their imaginations. It has been fantastic to see how books can inspire our students not only to read, but also to create, imagine and bring their favourite stories to life.

The classroom was filled with excitement as students proudly shared their designs and admired the wonderful creations of their classmates. Each hat represented the time, effort and enthusiasm our students put into celebrating their favourite stories.

A huge well done to all our Year 3 students for their fantastic creativity, effort and participation. We loved seeing the wonderful range of book inspired designs!
