Our Year 3 students had a fantastic day at CERES, learning all about how we can move Towards Zero Waste! Through a range of fun, hands-on activities, students explored the importance of caring for our environment.
Our students made strong connections to the 6 R’s of recycling (Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Repair) and discovered how each action helps protect our planet.
They searched for worms and insects in the soil, learning how these small creatures play a big role in keeping our earth healthy. They also had the exciting opportunity to make their own recycled paper.
During our walk around CERES, we learnt about its inspiring history and saw firsthand how the centre manages waste and keeps its environment clean and sustainable.
It was a wonderful day full of learning, teamwork, and environmental action, inspiring our Year 3’s to think about how they can make a difference every day!
