At the end of Term 3, our Year 4 students had the wonderful opportunity to bring their Arabic language skills to life in a fun and engaging way.
As part of their assessment, students stepped into a lively, simulated experience at the Year 4 Bakery, where they practised ordering breakfast in Arabic. They greeted one another using Arabic expressions, placed their food orders, recited the Dua before eating, and followed the beautiful Islamic etiquette related to sharing meals.
The atmosphere was full of excitement and laughter as students learned alongside their friends in a relaxed and supportive environment. It was a joy to see them so enthusiastic and confident in using their language skills in a real-life setting.
This creative activity provided both meaningful learning and an authentic form of assessment, one that focused on practical communication rather than the pressures of traditional testing.
