New Differentiated Senior Maths Level System

As Al Siraat College Mathematics Department, we always aim to give the best Mathematics education to our students. We want each student to reach their full potential. In order to fulfil this goal, we designed a “Differentiated Mathematics Level System” for Year 7 to 9 students that is in line with the new Victorian Curriculum. This new System is the best pathway for VCE Mathematics Curriculum as well.

There will be four levels in our new curriculum; Level A, B, C and D. Students are given PAT Tests and Diagnostic Tests in order to identify their levels. All levels will learn the same main topics (Strands) at the same time but with different level of difficulty.

We are preparing Individual Learning Plans for each student. Students will be assessed at the end of each strand in order to measure their progress. Then they can move to an upper level or stay at the same level depending on their progress. This will enable teachers to cater for the students’ needs by using a tailored curriculum to close the gaps in knowledge and skills as identified.

We believe that this new “Differentiated Mathematics Level System” will enable every student learn Mathematics in the best possible way. We hope that you will be as excited as us to start this new system and we always appreciate your ongoing support.
