Al Siraat hosted an unforgettable Boys Halaqa Night on Friday 11 September, welcoming more than 130 young men for an evening of faith, fitness and brotherhood as part of Victoria Youth Fest.
The evening began with Asr Salah before students took part in a range of exciting sports activities that encouraged teamwork, confidence and healthy competition. Highlights included an action-packed Archery Tag session delivered by Archery Ascension and an energetic kickboxing clinic that had students fully engaged throughout the afternoon.
We were honoured to welcome Mini Nachar, IKBF World Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion, who led the kickboxing clinic before delivering an inspiring halaqa talk. Sharing his personal journey of resilience, discipline and faith, Mini encouraged our young people to strive for excellence not only in sport, but also in their character and relationship with Allah (SWT).
The evening concluded with a community BBQ supper, Maghrib Salah and donuts for dessert, providing a wonderful opportunity for students to connect, reflect and strengthen friendships in a welcoming Islamic environment.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated ASC Youth Events Committee volunteers whose time, enthusiasm and service made the evening such a success. We also extend our sincere thanks to every young person who attended and participated with such positive energy and respect. May Allah (SWT) reward everyone who contributed to making the evening a memorable and beneficial experience.
This event was proudly supported by the Victorian Government for Victoria Youth Fest.
