Since the commencement of Term 1, students have been reciting a set of Prophetic Morning Athkār (Remembrance of Allah) each morning during Secondary Majlis (Assembly). This initiative aims to nurture students’ spiritual wellbeing and establish a consistent routine of beginning each day with the remembrance of Allah.
The PowerPoint Slides shared below contain the Arabic supplications, English meanings, and hadith outlining the virtues and rewards associated with each dhikr. This enables students to understand not only what they are reciting, but also why these remembrances are important.
Across the year, the Morning Athkār list will be updated each term so that students are gradually exposed to, and able to memorise, a wide range of Morning Athkār as taught by our beloved Prophet ﷺ.
Families are encouraged to support this initiative by reinforcing the Morning Athkār at home. In particular, parents may assist students to:
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Call upon Allah with certainty that He will answer you, and know that Allah does not accept the supplication of an unmindful and distracted heart.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3479)

May Allah place barakah in our students’ mornings, protect them from harm, and make His remembrance a lifelong habit in their lives. Ameen.
