On Wednesday, 15 October 2025, Al Siraat College proudly hosted an Interfaith Program that brought together Year 9 students from Al Siraat (ASC) and Year 7–9 students from St Monica’s College (SMC). The event offered a vibrant opportunity for 28 students to engage in meaningful dialogue, cultural exchange, and shared reflection.
The morning began with a warm welcome and prayer, featuring an Acknowledgement of Country, a beautiful Qur’an recitation by Mohaned Dao and Muhammad Shahim, and a prayer from St Monica’s College. The atmosphere reflected mutual respect and the shared values that unite people of different faith traditions.
Sheikh Waseem delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of interfaith dialogue in fostering understanding and peace. This was followed by an energetic icebreaker activity led by Nabiha Khan, encouraging connection and laughter among students.
Participants explored themes of interfaith dialogue through creative workshops, including calligraphy, which promoted collaboration and cultural appreciation. A highlight of the day was the ASC Mini Farm tour, where students enjoyed meeting and feeding the animals while learning about sustainability.
The day concluded with a shared lunch in the Assembly Hall, symbolising unity and friendship. Many students expressed how inspired they felt to connect with peers from another school and faith background in such an open and respectful environment.
The event reflected our commitment to nurturing compassionate, globally minded young leaders who celebrate diversity and build bridges of understanding across communities.
