Eid Toy Drive 2026 – Spreading Joy, One Gift at a Time

25 February 2026

Our Student Representative Council (SRC) is excited to launch our 7th Annual Eid Toy Drive — a cherished initiative that brings joy and hope to underprivileged refugee children across Melbourne.

Eid Toy Drive 2026 – Spreading Joy, One Gift at a Time

Each year, our College community unites to help ensure every child can experience the happiness of Eid. Through your generosity, we can support families facing hardship and remind children that they are valued and remembered.

This year, we are proud to partner with the National Zakat Foundation, El Rahman and Mercy Wings to distribute gifts to those in need.

We invite students, families and the wider community to donate brand-new:

  • Toys, puzzles and games
  • Arts and craft supplies
  • Stationery and creative kits
  • Clothing and personal care items

We are unable to accept second-hand items, food, sharp objects or military-themed toys.

Donation Deadline: Monday, 23 March 2026

“Spend in charity and do not count, for Allah will also not count in giving you provision.”

(Bukhari & Muslim)

If purchasing items is not possible, financial contributions can be made directly to Ms Noori or via online donation:

  • Mercy Wings – Commonwealth Bank of Australia
  • BSB: 063-882
  • Account Number: 10318416
  • Reference: Eidbox26

The Eid Toy Drive is more than a collection, it is an opportunity for our students to live out the values of compassion, generosity and service.

Every gift matters. Every act of kindness makes a difference. Let’s make Eid special for every child.

    Girls' College Captain 2026

I am truly honoured to be chosen as College Captain for 2026, and I am dedicated to fulfilling this role to its fullest potential.

As I enter my fourth year at Al Siraat, I have been grateful for the many opportunities to be involved in the SRC and participate in a range of school initiatives, including the Values in Action Program. These experiences have allowed me to contribute to our school community while learning what it means to create a positive and meaningful impact.

My hope is to help build a school environment where students feel motivated to attend, supported in their learning, and encouraged to grow into the best versions of themselves.

Together with my fellow captain and vice-captains, I aim to support initiatives that inspire students, create opportunities for them to lead, and represent Al Siraat College with pride. I am committed to helping foster a community grounded in respect, collaboration, and shared purpose.

    Boys’ College Captain 2026

As the Boys’ College Captain of Al Siraat, I am honoured to serve our school community and uphold the values that define us as a vibrant Islamic learning environment. Having been part of Al Siraat since kindergarten, I have grown alongside the school and feel deeply connected to its mission of nurturing students academically, spiritually, and personally.

Throughout my years at Al Siraat, I have engaged in a range of school activities and community service initiatives. In everything I do, I strive to embody the principles of our faith: respect, compassion, service, and the pursuit of knowledge. My leadership style is democratic and inclusive, as I believe in listening to the voices of my peers, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that every student feels valued, heard, and supported.

    Leadership Vision and Goals:

In Islam, leadership is seen as a sacred trust (Amanah), not a privilege. With this understanding, I am committed to serving our school community with humility, responsibility, and accountability. Leaders are expected to uphold moral and ethical principles, demonstrate competence and diligence, and be positive role models by following the example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). I will do my utmost to live up to these expectations in my role as College Captain.

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an: “The believers are but one brotherhood, so make peace between your brothers. And be mindful of Allah so you may be shown mercy.” - Surah Al-Hujurat (49:10)

Guided by this verse, I aim to contribute to a learning environment rooted in unity, respect, and compassion. My vision is to help foster a strong sense of brotherhood and belonging among students. I hope to expand student leadership opportunities, encourage participation in religious, academic, and extracurricular activities, and promote initiatives that reflect our Islamic identity and values.

I look forward to leading with sincerity and commitment, encouraging my fellow students to strive for excellence and embrace the best versions of themselves, always guided by the teachings of Islam.
