Across Australia, Muslims continue to experience abuse, threats, discrimination, vandalism and online harassment. Too often, incidents go unreported or are quietly endured. However, every incident, whether small or serious, matters. Reporting helps reveal the true scale of Islamophobia and supports efforts to ensure victims receive support and perpetrators are held accountable.

Online Islamophobia can take many forms, from hateful posts and abusive messages to biased or harmful media content. It is important that we stand united against all forms of hate, racism, discrimination and prejudice wherever they occur across Australia.

Click here to view a factsheet from Action Against Islamophobia (AAI) to help you recognise what Islamophobia can look like, understand what can be reported, and know how to respond if you or someone in your community is targeted.

Reporting incidents not only supports those affected, but also contributes to accurate data collection, which helps inform policies and strategies to address anti-Muslim, anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian racism.

By speaking up and supporting one another, we can help protect and strengthen our communities.
