The College Canteen is no longer accepting manual lunch orders at the window in the mornings. All lunch orders must now be placed online through our canteen portal to ensure your preferred items are available.

You can find step-by-step instructions on how to access the portal here:

Students may still purchase snacks directly from the canteen at recess and lunchtime, though availability will be limited to what is left on the day.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we continue to make our canteen service more efficient and convenient for everyone.

Over the past two weeks, our Secondary students have engaged with the local community about the proposed MERC Cleanaway waste incinerator. Through classroom discussions, research, and conversations, they explored the environmental, health, and social impacts of the proposal while learning how civic participation can drive positive change.

This learning experience has been a wonderful demonstration of student voice and active citizenship in action. It provided our students with the opportunity to connect their studies to real-world issues, develop persuasive communication skills, and appreciate how respectful advocacy contributes to shaping community outcomes.

Hiba Haq from 9LEAP reflected on her experience:

“I was part of the campaigning events against the Northern incinerator being proposed and found it a very enriching and enlightening experience. My peers and I were advertising and educating people in the community on why we were involved in the campaign. I’m very pleased to say that a considerable amount of people we spoke to had already signed the petition against the incinerator.

For those who are unaware of it all, the proposal is a pressing issue in dire need of attention from the general public. Those supporting this idea have failed to consider the extreme implications for residents, both short-term and long-term. Constructing this incinerator threatens public health, safety and sustainability, due to carbon emissions and environmental impacts. Being a bystander is unacceptable as well as ignorant, as the project is not well planned nor evaluated for danger.

So, thank you for granting us this opportunity- it has really given us a lot of valuable insights and awareness. And therefore, as a collective effort, we should all say NO! for the sake of future generations before it’s too late!"

We are incredibly proud of the maturity, curiosity, and community spirit our students have displayed throughout this process. Their thoughtful engagement reflects Al Siraat College’s commitment to nurturing young people who are informed, responsible, and compassionate contributors to society.

Over the recent school holidays, our male Year 7 and 8 students participated in a special pastoral program at Gammage Park in Epping, focused on brotherhood, teamwork, and connection.

Around 30 students attended the day, enjoying a mix of team-building games, group challenges, and a relaxed barbecue lunch. The program encouraged students to unwind, have fun, and strengthen positive relationships with their peers.

Throughout the day, facilitators highlighted how the values of brotherhood and cooperation are deeply rooted in the Sunnah, inspiring students to embody respect, unity, and service to others in their daily lives.

Alhumdulilah, it was a wonderful day of connection, fun, and learning. We look forward to offering more holiday pastoral care programs in the future.

We were honoured to welcome a delegation of 12 Indonesian community leaders and educators today, facilitated by Mosaic Connections as part of the Australia–Indonesia Muslim Exchange Program (AIMEP).

The delegates, representing a wide range of sectors including education, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, environmental leadership and Islamic community development, spent the morning touring the College grounds and meeting with staff and students.

A special highlight of the morning was the opportunity to meet Sheikh Waseem and the Hifz students, where delegates learned about Al Siraat’s Hifz Program reflecting the College’s commitment to nurturing both knowledge and character.

The program continued with visits to the Primary and Secondary buildings.  They were particularly inspired by Al Siraat’s faith-based educational model and community engagement approach. The team met with Ms Kiki, one of our Foundation teachers originally from Indonesia, whose story deeply resonated with the visitors.

The delegates engaged in lively discussions with SRC students, led by Ms Noori, the College’s Student Leadership and Interfaith Engagement Coordinator.

Mosaic Connections facilitator Brynna expressed her appreciation, saying:

“Our delegates were incredibly inspired by everything they saw and learnt, alhamdulillah. They truly enjoyed their time at Al Siraat and look forward to many more connections and opportunities to learn together.”

Al Siraat College extends its heartfelt thanks to Mosaic Connections and the AIMEP team for fostering ongoing collaboration and understanding between Australian and Indonesian Muslim communities. We look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership in the years ahead, inShaAllah.
