This Friday, 6 February marks the annual “School Crossing Supervisor Safety Awareness Day", a time to honour the vital work of school crossing supervisors and remind drivers of the importance of slowing down and staying alert around school zones.
At Al Siraat, we are privileged to have exceptional crossing supervisors who tirelessly ensure the safety of our community. To raise awareness of their vital role, they will wear ribbons on this day to highlight the importance of road safety.
We encourage everyone in our school community to show appreciation for our crossing supervisors – a smile, wave, or “thank you” means so much.
A reminder from our Crossing Supervisor Angelo:
- Slow Down: Observe school zone speed limits, especially during drop-off and pick-up times.
- Be Alert: Always watch for students and crossing supervisors at crossings.
- Set a Good Example: Teach your child to use school crossings and follow safety instructions
- Always wait for his whistle signal first before starting to cross!
Let’s work together to create a safer environment for our community. On 6 February, and every day, we thank our crossing supervisors for their invaluable dedication.
You are warmly invited to our upcoming Parenting Workshop titled Nurturing the Whole Child, taking place in the ASC Auditorium in the evening of Monday, 9 February 2026.
We are honoured to welcome special guest speaker, Dr Idris La Terra, also known as The Sunnah Doctor, who will share insights on Sunnah Nutrition & Physical Tarbiyyah, exploring how food influences children’s behaviour, mood, and overall wellbeing, along with practical Sunnah-informed habits families can implement at home.
Other speakers include:
• Mr Adam Sam’on (Digital Learning Leader): Digital Boundaries at Home: managing screen time and parental controls with wisdom
• Mr Mahdi Marican (Coordinator of Murabbi Project): Family Connection: reflections on building trust and meaningful routines at home
This workshop aims to provide simple, practical ideas to support parents in nurturing their children holistically through everyday home routines.
All parents and caregivers are welcome. We look forward to your presence, in sha Allah.
