We encourage our community to come along, support our students and celebrate this wonderful achievement with them.

Our community is invited to come together for a very special community planting day in Epping, where we will help create Epping’s first Tiny Forest!

This unique urban forest will be densely planted with indigenous shrubs and plants, creating a thriving habitat for small birds, insects and other local wildlife. More than simply adding greenery to our neighbourhood, the Tiny Forest has been designed to encourage people to connect with nature and experience the benefits of biodiversity in an urban setting.

It will be a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors, get our hands into the soil and work alongside fellow community members to create something that will benefit both people and nature for years to come.

  • Where: Edgars Creek Central Reserve, Gammage Boulevard end, Epping
  • When: Saturday, 26 September 2026
  • Time: 10 am to 12 noon.

Everyone is welcome to join this hands on community planting day. Come along, bring your enthusiasm and help us turn a small patch of urban space into a thriving little forest!

The 30th Annual Blessing of the Fleet is just around the corner, and our community is warmly invited to be part of this special event.

This free multi-faith ceremony is a unique opportunity to honour and support our brave emergency service personnel as they prepare for the season ahead. It is a heartfelt tribute to the local heroes who dedicate themselves to keeping us safe.

We are proud that, in past years, members of our Al Siraat community have actively participated as Muslim faith leaders, offering prayers to represent Islam. Among them were Ms Tanja, Mufti Aasim, late Sheikh Salim Moeladawilah, former PFC President Ms Jedda and Ustadh Muhammad Graham. Their contributions reflect the strong bonds of faith, respect, and service that unite us in supporting those who protect our community.

Would you like to learn more about the local environment and help care for our waterways? As part of Riverfest, the community is invited to come together for a special Restoring Country event celebrating Curly Sedge Creek at Wollert Community Farm.

Hosted by Yarra Valley Water, Whittlesea Community Connections and Nugal Biik Plants & Seeds, this hands on community event is an opportunity to roll up your sleeves, learn from local experts and discover what helps the habitat around the Birrarung and its waterways thrive.

Whether you are passionate about the environment, curious to learn more about our local waterways or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back to Country, everyone is welcome to get involved.
