Al Siraat proudly celebrated the official opening of our new VCE Building on Friday, 31 July, marking another significant milestone in our College’s continued growth and commitment to providing exceptional learning opportunities for our Senior VCE students.
The special occasion brought together distinguished guests, including Federal Member for Scullin Andrew Giles MP, the Hon. Lily D'Ambrosio MP, Mayor of the City of Whittlesea Cr Lawrie Cox, and leaders from Islamic schools across Victoria. The ceremony was expertly hosted by Head of Secondary, Mr Vis Naidu.
The program commenced with a beautiful recitation from the Holy Qur'an, followed by a warm welcome from Principal Mr Fazeel. Guests also heard inspiring addresses, viewed a presentation showcasing the College’s journey by Ms Rahat, and witnessed the official unveiling of the commemorative plaque by Mayor Cr Lawrie Cox.
Following the formal proceedings, Secondary student leaders proudly guided guests through the impressive three storey facility, highlighting the thoughtfully designed learning spaces before everyone enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea while taking in the panoramic views from the top floor.
Designed to accommodate more than 300 students across Years 10 to 12, the new VCE Building reflects Al Siraat College’s ongoing investment in creating contemporary, inspiring and future focused learning environments for its rapidly growing school community.
We sincerely thank our honoured guests, staff, students and everyone who joined us in celebrating this proud moment in the College’s history. We look forward to seeing generations of students flourish within these new learning spaces for many years to come, inShaAllah.
