Positive Traffic Behaviour

With Term 3 commencing next Monday, 17 July 2017, the College would like to remind all members of our school community to always put Children’s Safety first and drive slowly, carefully and respectfully in and around the car park at all times.

As previously announced, the College has been consulting with the local Police and the Council of Whittlesea to improve strategies for traffic safety around the school. Please be advised that the traffic division of Police is increasing its visibility around the College, particularly at school finish times. This is to help reinforce positive traffic behaviour.

I strongly appeal to all families to make the safety of our children your first priority. By this I mean the safety of not just your own, but every child in school.

The College is well aware of the current car park limitations and the impact construction is having. However, when it comes to car park etiquette, please be reminded that we act as roles models for our children and that they copy our own actions. Therefore, we should exhibit patience and always act in a calm and responsible manner. We should follow the directions of the staff trying to manage traffic and keep children safe.

Please reflect upon the picture supplied by one of our concerned parents.

We would like to remind you to uphold the values of the College, so that they will be mirrored by our students. As a reminder, the values of the College are:

  • Respect
  • Sincerity
  • Integrity
  • Responsibility
  • Perseverance
  • Benefitting Others

I thank you in advance for your support with this important matter.
