SSD Wellbeing Day: Celebrating Connection, Joy and Leadership

18 September 2026

Our Primary Student Support Department (SSD) hosted a wonderful Wellbeing Day on Monday 14 September and Tuesday 15 September, providing students with an opportunity to unwind, connect with their peers and enjoy a range of engaging activities as we approached the end of Term 3.

SSD Wellbeing Day: Celebrating Connection, Joy and Leadership

The event was held during lunchtime on Monday for our Foundation to Year 2 students, while our Year 3–6 students participated on Tuesday.

Students enjoyed a diverse range of activities, including Nasheed Chairs, archery, cookie decorating, target ringing, ball blasters, board games, bracelet making and colouring-in. The variety of activities ensured there was something for everyone, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere across Primary.

A special highlight of the event was seeing our Year 6 students take the lead in hosting and facilitating the various activity stations. This provided our senior students with a valuable leadership opportunity, allowing them to support and engage with younger students while demonstrating the true Al Siraat spirit and adab of leadership through role modelling, guidance and encouragement.

The smiles, enthusiasm and positive energy throughout the two days reflected the success of the event, which was thoroughly enjoyed by students across all year levels. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our Primary community and bring Term 3 to a joyful close.

SSD Primary would like to extend a heartfelt JazakumAllahu Khairan to our dedicated Year 6 student volunteers for generously giving their time, energy and leadership to make the event such a memorable experience for our younger students.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students came together to lead, support, connect and celebrate as one Primary community.
