Positive Behaviour Bus started rolling

It has been a busy week at the SSD office with planning and preparations for our new program called "The Positive behaviour Bus" (PBB).

The PBB is a great initiative to encourage our students to make good and positive choices. Researches shows that it generally takes anywhere between 21 – 28 days to create a new habit. Meaning, the first few weeks of performing a new task is often the hardest. Once you cross the 4 week period, things start to get easier as the task then becomes a habit.

The PBB program allows students to collect ‘bus tickets’ when they display positive behaviour. The student who then collects the most amount of tickets gets to have a ride on the PBB. This program is going to take place once a month, inShaAllah.

This week, we had lots of winners from each class and as a reward we took them to our local McDonalds where the College purchased French fries for all the students. They were super excited and are eager to win the next round of bus tickets for the month of October!

Good character is one of the paths to paradise in Islam. And we want our students to be of those with the best of characters. As our beloved Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said: "The most beloved of Allah’s slaves are those with the best of manners" (At-Tabrani). May Allah SWT make us amongst those with the best of characters. Ameen.
