We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the very first issue of “The Murabbi” – Al Siraat’s very own Islamic parenting magazine!

Rooted in our belief that parents are the first murabbis (nurturers), this publication is designed to inspire and empower families to raise children with faith, love, and prophetic character.

The name “Murabbi” was chosen carefully to reflect this mission. A murabbi is more than just a caregiver; they are a guide, mentor, and role model, shaping not only the behaviour of children but nurturing their hearts, morals, and connection to Allah. This magazine celebrates parents as the first teachers and nurturers of the next generation of believers.

The inaugural issue will include:

  • Prophetic Parenting Series
  • Tawheed at Home Series
  • Revive a Sunnah Together
  • Family Challenge & Quiz (with exciting prizes to be won)

As the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you will be asked about your flock." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim) This beautiful reminder emphasises the responsibility and honour of raising children with care and guidance.

Stay tuned for the official launch next week, InShaAllah, and join us on this heartfelt journey to nurture hearts and homes through sunnah-centred parenting.

On Thursday, 6th November, our Year 4 students enjoyed an exciting incursion with the knowledgeable and engaging Brandon from Wildlife Xposure. The session offered students a wonderful hands-on opportunity to meet and learn about some of Australia’s incredible native animals while exploring fascinating topics such as the food chain and animal survival.

Students were captivated as they got to handle a variety of creatures, including two types of pythons, a laughing kookaburra, a shingleback lizard, a freshwater river turtle, a baby saltwater crocodile, a squirrel glider, a lace monitor (also known as a tree goanna) and even a burrowing bettong – one of Australia’s rarest native species, also known as a rat kangaroo, which has become locally extinct in many areas.

For some students, it was a thrilling chance to get up close to animals they had only ever seen from afar, while others showed great courage in overcoming their initial nerves.

Through this engaging experience, students gained a deeper understanding of how animals can belong to multiple food chains and the vital roles they play in maintaining healthy ecosystems. Thank you to Brandon for making these sessions both fun and inspiring!

On behalf of the ASC Incinerator Action Group, we are excited to launch a Poster Competition for our Primary School students in Years 3 to 6 over the next two weeks!

Did you know that a company called Cleanaway wants to build a waste incinerator in Wollert – right near where many of us live, study, and play?

Incinerators burn rubbish to make energy, but they can also pollute the air, harm our native wildlife, and damage our soil and waterways. We believe Wollert deserves clean air, thriving nature, and healthy families – not smoke and pollution!

That’s why we’re taking a stand and saying:
💚 NO to the Incinerator
🌏 YES to Clean Air and a Greener Wollert!

POSTER COMPETITION: “My Clean & Green Wollert”

Create a CANVA poster showing your vision for a bright, healthy future for Wollert — with clean skies, happy families, and thriving nature.

We choose clean air, healthy living, and a bright future!

Make your poster at home with parent supervision.

The sessions are run by our wonderful parent volunteers and offer a time for children to play, make friends and explore their creativity in a warm, welcoming space. Suitable for children aged 0 – 4 years old.

Storytime sessions are held in Room D4 and lovingly hosted by our dedicated parent volunteers Ms Hina Fahad, Ms Nabiha Atique and Ms Siti Nurfadhilah.
