What a fantastic way to finish Term 3: Wednesday, our final day for students, Footy Jersey Day 2026 brought plenty of colour and football spirit to the College, with students across both Primary and Secondary School getting into the fun.
From favourite AFL and soccer jerseys to team scarves, hats and beanies, it was wonderful to see so many students proudly representing the teams they support. The day created a cheerful atmosphere around the College and gave students an opportunity to share their love of football with their friends.
With the 2026 football finals just around the corner, Footy Jersey Day was a great way to round off a busy term with some friendly football spirit, fun and plenty of smiles.
The day also featured a friendly footy match between our Year 11 boys and our Year 12 seniors, who now have just a few more weeks of their official school journey left. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy some friendly competition and celebrate our graduating students as they approach the end of their time at the College.
Thank you to all our students for getting involved and helping make the final day of Term 3 such a memorable one.
Wishing all our students, families and staff a safe, restful and enjoyable term break! We hope everyone has the opportunity to relax, recharge and spend quality time with family and friends. Enjoy the holidays and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 4, InShaAllah!

Our Primary Student Support Department (SSD) hosted a wonderful Wellbeing Day on Monday 14 September and Tuesday 15 September, providing students with an opportunity to unwind, connect with their peers and enjoy a range of engaging activities as we approached the end of Term 3.
The event was held during lunchtime on Monday for our Foundation to Year 2 students, while our Year 3–6 students participated on Tuesday.
Students enjoyed a diverse range of activities, including Nasheed Chairs, archery, cookie decorating, target ringing, ball blasters, board games, bracelet making and colouring-in. The variety of activities ensured there was something for everyone, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere across Primary.
A special highlight of the event was seeing our Year 6 students take the lead in hosting and facilitating the various activity stations. This provided our senior students with a valuable leadership opportunity, allowing them to support and engage with younger students while demonstrating the true Al Siraat spirit and adab of leadership through role modelling, guidance and encouragement.
The smiles, enthusiasm and positive energy throughout the two days reflected the success of the event, which was thoroughly enjoyed by students across all year levels. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our Primary community and bring Term 3 to a joyful close.
SSD Primary would like to extend a heartfelt JazakumAllahu Khairan to our dedicated Year 6 student volunteers for generously giving their time, energy and leadership to make the event such a memorable experience for our younger students.
We are incredibly proud of the way our students came together to lead, support, connect and celebrate as one Primary community.

Al Siraat hosted an unforgettable Boys Halaqa Night on Friday 11 September, welcoming more than 130 young men for an evening of faith, fitness and brotherhood as part of Victoria Youth Fest.
The evening began with Asr Salah before students took part in a range of exciting sports activities that encouraged teamwork, confidence and healthy competition. Highlights included an action-packed Archery Tag session delivered by Archery Ascension and an energetic kickboxing clinic that had students fully engaged throughout the afternoon.
We were honoured to welcome Mini Nachar, IKBF World Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion, who led the kickboxing clinic before delivering an inspiring halaqa talk. Sharing his personal journey of resilience, discipline and faith, Mini encouraged our young people to strive for excellence not only in sport, but also in their character and relationship with Allah (SWT).
The evening concluded with a community BBQ supper, Maghrib Salah and donuts for dessert, providing a wonderful opportunity for students to connect, reflect and strengthen friendships in a welcoming Islamic environment.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated ASC Youth Events Committee volunteers whose time, enthusiasm and service made the evening such a success. We also extend our sincere thanks to every young person who attended and participated with such positive energy and respect. May Allah (SWT) reward everyone who contributed to making the evening a memorable and beneficial experience.
This event was proudly supported by the Victorian Government for Victoria Youth Fest.

On last Thursday, 10 September, our Year 5 and 6 girls enjoyed a special Arabic Movie Night, featuring an animated film about the renowned Muslim scholar and Hadith collector Imam Al Bukhari, best known for Sahih Al Bukhari, one of the most respected collections of authentic Hadith.
The evening connected beautifully with our Islamic traditions and values, highlighting the importance of seeking knowledge, perseverance and dedication.
Alongside the movie, students enjoyed reflection time, Islamic nasheeds, snacks, activities and prizes, making for a fun and meaningful evening.
With 111 students participating alongside teachers and staff, it was a wonderful opportunity to come together, strengthen our sense of community and celebrate the Islamic values that unite us.

In Week 9 of Term 3, our Year 9 LEAP students visited Quantum Victoria to participate in a Cyber Investigation experience as part of their studies on Digital Literacy.

- Joudy G. — “Hackers can use even the smallest piece of information to get one step closer to harming you.”
- Hiba S. — “Every online action leaves a trace. The excursion made cybersecurity feel real instead of just theoretical.”

Alhamdulillah, our Year 4 students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the “Stories from Surah Kahf" program throughout this term.
Held every Thursday during Lunch 1, the program provided students with an engaging opportunity to explore the impactful stories of Surah Kahf, reflect on their lessons through classroom discussions, and discover interesting real-life connections that brought their learning to life.
Students also enjoyed Kahoot quizzes, interactive activities and thought-provoking reflection questions facilitated by Ms Rihlah. The program was warmly embraced by the Year 4 cohort, with approximately 20 students enthusiastically attending each session.
To celebrate the success of the program students participated in a special end-of-term session during the final week. This provided an opportunity for them to share their learning and personal reflections from the stories they had explored throughout the term.
Alhamdulillah, it was wonderful to see students engage so enthusiastically with the program. May the lessons and reflections they have gained from Surah Kahf continue to resonate with them, inspire them and positively shape them as they grow, InshAllah.
