On the 25 August 2023, Al Siraat took the spotlight as the host for the annual SSV Volleyball Gala Day for Year 5/6 students, held at Marymede College for the Bridge Inn South district. We are thrilled to report that the event was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of our dedicated staff.
Being the hosts this year, our students stepped onto the court with determination, delivering remarkable performances against some formidable competition. Our ladies' team secured victory in 3 out of 6 challenging matches, ultimately claiming a well-deserved third place in the overall standings. On the boys' side, they triumphed in 4 out of 6 games, narrowly missing out on the play-off game by just one point, securing a commendable third-place finish.
The tournament showcased not only the impressive volleyball skills of our students but also their exemplary sportsmanship. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication exhibited by both our coaching team and our students in the lead-up to this exciting event.
We are immensely proud of the quality of play and the sportsmanship displayed by our students, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved in making this event a memorable success.
