We welcomed all our students back to Al Siraat College for the start of the new academic year 2024 on Monday, 29th January. It was wonderful to see the school grounds filled with students and staff once again.
First thing in the morning, school crossing supervisors Angelo and Barry welcomed our school community with warm smiles and did a fabulous job as always to help them to cross over safely. Our guards and maintenance staff were busy directing traffic and ensuring a calm and safe entry and exit to the College. Our school bus service has grown to operating a third line that now travels to and from Craigieburn Station with bus driver Mr Zafar.
Our Senior Year 12 students were excited to receive their personalised Graduate "Class of 2024" jumpers while our Secondary Student Support team created a photobooth with props and a polaroid camera in hopes to garnering spirit and excitement for the year ahead.
The photobooth was very popular with the students who took photos with their friends, and kept their polaroids to enjoy and treasure as a keepsake for years to come. Needless to say, the students enjoyed the activity immensely and it raised morale. Thank you so much to the SSD team! And once again, a very warm welcome back to school!
