Minute of Silence observed for Remembrance Day

All students and staff observed a Minute of Silence at 11 am today, standing up to honour "Remembrance Day".

This year, the 11th of November marks the 97th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18). Each year on this day Australians observe a one minute’s silence at 11 am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

The Minute of Silence at Al Siraat was followed by the "Last Post Bugle Call" which was being played over the PR system of the College. Lessons resumed afterwards as normal.
