On Tuesday, 17 July 2018, our Year 5/6 boys participated in the Bachar Houli Cup round robin tournament against other Islamic schools, with the aim of giving students the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of other Muslim AFL players like Bachar Houli and Adam Saad.
The team put in a lot of hard work, training at lunch and after school in preparation for the day. The team won 3 out of their 4 games in extremely windy conditions, but unfortunately could not beat the eventual winners in the final game who were the better team on the day.
We hope that the Year 5/6 boys continue to work on their AFL skills as they have the opportunity to participate in this carnival each year while at Al Siraat.
